Willis - Benjamin

Benjamin Willis, an old and highly respected citizen
of this couty died at his home in this city Saturday morning of general
debility and old age, after an illness of about two weeks. The deceased
was a native of Butler County, Ohio and at the time of his death was 82
years of age. He came to this county when there were but few people
within its borders and settled in Ripley Twp, where for a number of
years he practiced medicine according to the Herbal process and
conducted a farm. Six years ago he removed to this city where he has
since resided. He leaves a wife and four sons, AD and JM Willis, who
live in this city. The funeral occurred on Monday at 9 o'clock from the
residence and of his son JM Willis on Wabash Avenue. Services by Rev.
